Community Outreach

Opportunities to Volunteer:

  • Andy’s Breakfast: During Summer we serve free breakfast to children and their families from 7 to 9 am.

  • Blessings in a Backpack: During the school year we serve a weekend meal to kids in elementary schools.

  • Spirit of Hope - Walworth County Men's Homeless Shelter: During winter we provide accommodations for the homeless at the Trinity Center, and parishioners volunteer to cook meals or stay with the them.

Opportunities to donate:

  • Elkhorn Food Pantry: How difficult is to bring some food to the church? By doing so we could teach the youngest the value of food. Consider coming to church with your donation of non-perishable food.

  • Circle of Friends: When we have some furniture, clothes or something we are not going to use any more, let us contact Circle of Friends. They are local and work with us when emergencies.

  • Open Arms Free Clinic: Provides non-emergent primary care with skill and compassion. If you have a professional skill to offer, you can do so much through the gift of your time and talent. We are need of translators interested to volunteer. Their new program is the Volunteer Home Visiting Companion Program to establish human connection with those without a support system.

  • Hope Now: Since 2004, a group of concerned people from different churches, service groups and the school system, have gathered together to consider ways we all might work together in a combined effort to help those in need in the Elkhorn area. Since then, we have assisted over 600 different households with loans for a variety of needs such as rent assistance, utilities, transportation needs, and medical prescriptions. During Thanksgiving and Christmas, we provide special holiday food baskets for qualified families. With the generous help from these groups as well as individuals, we have been able to put together over 120 baskets at a time for families in need in Elkhorn.

There are many organizations that need our help right here in the Elkhorn and greater Walworth County area.  Support our local community organizations and the people in our community that need our help.
